Reimagining embroidery through fashion.
Borda Team is an embroidery company based in Portugal. We were contacted to create a visual identity for their new project: They recently created a new design department that explores new designs and approaches on how to work and manipulte differente embroidery techniques. The unique designs will be showcased in two different fairs every year so they wanted to have all these pieces with a brand. There’s a possibility that in the near future the brand (Ricamato) will start to showcase its own collection.
Our design work for this project was inspired by the traditional embroidery process called picagem, which envolves the use of a needle to create a series of holes which mark the area where your design will appear.
