- Reimagining embroidery through fashion.
Borda Team is an embroidery company based in Portugal. We were contacted to create a visual identity for their new project. They recently created a new design department that explores innovative designs and approaches to working with and manipulating different embroidery techniques. The unique designs will be shown at two fairs each year, so they wanted the pieces to have their own brand.
Ricamato (the brand) plans to launch and showcase its own collection in the near future.
Our design work for this project was inspired by the traditional embroidery process called “picagem,” which involves using a needle to create a series of holes that mark the areas where the design will appear.
